George's Plant Farm

OUR GROWING PROCESS

George, Thanks for the good plants you provided to us about a year ago. American sweet potatoes are one of the food items that we miss the most from home as we live and work in Africa. We now enjoy eating lots of sweet potatoes that started with the ones we bought from you. Our children love them, and the other American families that work with us enjoy them too. I’ve attached a picture from our place.

Just wanted to say thank you! I had a fantastic 2011 crop of Centennials, Georgia Jets, Beauregards, and Vardemans. My soil is heavy clay soil and yet the taters thrived. They are so full of flavor that one doesn’t even need butter or anything else. I literally eat them plain most of the time. Thanks for offering the great descriptions and ‘tater school’. The planting instructions are excellent especially for those of us with compacted clay soil! Look forward to doing business with you in 2012.

George, We are always so busy this time of year, but we wanted to take time to thank you for your great sweet potato plants. The Purple Passion and Nancy Halls did great this year, despite our cool summer in northern Ohio. We have ordered from you in the past, but wanted you to know we appreciate your prompt shipping and good plants. By the way, do you have any recipes for us ” Northeners” for the Nancy Halls?

Arland has been digging sweet potatoes for a couple weeks…we always have lots of sizes but this year, and today for sure they are crazy big!

They say that you can’t grow big sweet potatoes in the north. Show them these pictures. I have to send another email with more.

George and Donna, Thanks! The plants came in the mail today and I got them all in just in time for some wonderful and much needed rains! Thanks for the prompt service! The vines are beautiful! Wish I’d have found you last April before I had ordered from someone else!
