Texas Porto Rico
The Texas Porto Rico is a deep red skinned variety with similarities to the Bunch Porto Rico. However, it is a “Runner type” with a creamy orange/white meat. Color is similar to Salmon & it has a Rich Sweet potato flavor. Resistant to Bacterial Root Rot and Root Knot Nematode. Delicious potato that matures in 100+ days. (Heavy yielder).
We believe at George’s Plant Farm that all varieties will grow in most all states with exception of Northern States who must use black plastic, cover bedded rows 2-3 weeks before plants arrive
